When studying the film scoring master’s degree at the ESMUC, I had to create the music for this animated short film using the so-called mickey mousing technique︎. The score was for a string quartet, piano, and pipe organ.

To fulfill this task, I first composed the main theme you can hear at the beginning of the piece. Then, I used variations and transpositions of this theme to represent the story. As a result, it is possible to hear how, after several attempts, the main characters finally come to an understanding.

Regarding the style, I decided to use the grotesque aesthetic for the music, so I felt it would fit with the aim of the film.
